Hosting a daawat

Picking a time

We flag clashes with your people before you lock it in.

Pick the day, then set the start and end hours on the clock dials. The reply deadline is optional; when it passes, the reply buttons close and the guest list is fixed as it stands.

How the busy warning works

As you change the date, Daawat checks that whole calendar day for published events and shows the faces of anyone who already has something on. It looks at three sources:

  • Your own eventsAnything you are hosting that day.

  • Events hosted by your connectionsAnyone you are connected to directly.

  • Events in circles you belong toIncluding those hosted by people you are not connected to directly.

The check covers the entire day rather than the specific hours you picked, so it will flag a lunch when you are planning a dinner.

Find a better time

This scans the days around your choice and suggests windows where fewer of your people are committed. It is a suggestion only. The warning never blocks publishing, and Continue anyway dismisses it.

Note — The check can only see events you are allowed to see. Anything other people have marked hidden is excluded, so an empty warning does not guarantee everyone is free.
